Job Description
Primary contact person for the customer. Provides quick response
and follow-up to all customer inquiries through phone and/or email
communication
Thorough knowledge of SAP systems for order entry and tracking,
working closely with manufacturing to ensure order ships to meet
customer\s requirements
Handle all forms of customer inquiries and requests, price quotes
and quality complaints/returns
Maintain and update customer master files, including
specifications, correspondence, and pricing to ensure information
is current
Monitor and reconcile customer payment issues, working with credit
department and account managers
Coordinate pickups/bookings with Freight Forwarders
This position requires an incisive, articulate, professional
\"thinker\", willing to make good and quick decisions on customer
matters and able to prioritize work assignments
Superior communication skills and ability to work independently
with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment
Travel, meet customers and visit manufacturing plants
Qualifications
BA/BS in business, marketing, or related field, prior customer
service experience (3-5 years of experience in lieu of degree)
Export/Import experience, process knowledge required
Technical background with the ability to read drawings and customer
specifications preferred
Prior Customer Service experience in manufacturing, glass,
pharmaceutical industry preferred
Supply chain and vendor inventory management experience
preferred
Strong computer skills to create and maintain sales reports, order
status reports, quality complaint reports, etc
