Responsibilities
Primary Responsibility:
Supports Director of FP&A and warehouse operations team with
analyzing and summarizing financial and non-financial data to
assist Operations to drive decisions, improve profit margins and
operations effectiveness. Detail analysis on costs and margins by
Repack type through Activity Based Costing. Primary focus will be
on the Warehouse segment, Repack Operations, and Growers
Essential Functions:
1. Assists with monthly forecasting, annual operating budget for
Warehouse, Repack, and Growers business, including loading data to
the Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) system.
2. Assists in the month end close process, variance explanations,
and researching and reviewing financial results for Warehouse,
Repack, and Growers business. Ensure monthly financials by business
entity is aligned correctly.
3. Create/maintain activity tracker / metrics for Warehouse,
Repack, and Growers on volume, throughput, On hand inventory, and
Growers Inventory
4. Manage the month end accrual process to include Ending Inventory
for Repack Ops and Growers. Review and validate month end inventory
count / process, prepare journal entry to Balance Sheet
5. Gain deep understanding of costs and profit margin for Repack
Operations. Create standard costs modeling by repack type, work
with IE to incorporate labor standard, and Repack Ops to
incorporate material & supplies. Develop standard cost model by
Repack type to assist with pricing and margin expectations.
6. Weekly / monthly reporting related to repack line utilization
and yield by commodity
7. Evaluate standard costs model with actuals. Adjust standard cost
model once a quarter if material
8. Manual Customer Profitability Analysis for all major
accounts
9. Serves as a critical resource for data collection, analysis, and
presentation.
10. Assists in the preparation of management reports summarizing
operational results for the period, including both financial and
non-financial data, and assists in developing slides for executive
presentations as needed or as requested.
11. Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience:
Education, Training & Professional Experience:
BS Degree in Accounting or Finance and 3 years of relevant cost
accounting analyst experience.
Previous exposure to Operations, Manufacturing, Transportation, or
Warehousing industries is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Proficiency
with Access is preferred.
Previous demonstrated experience with financial and business
intelligence systems. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with
SAP and SAP-BPC is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of budget and reporting systems such as
HYPERION, ESSBASE, COGNOS, or equivalent.
Knowledge & Employment Standards:
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills sufficient to
prepare financial documents, reports, and presentations.
Demonstrated ability to work on teams exemplified by implemented
results or change to processes.
Self-starter with demonstrated ability to identify and solve
problems in a fast-paced environment where deadlines and scopes may
change regularly while maintaining accuracy.
