Life, Health, Dental, Vision WHAT YOU WILL DO:Maintains inventory
levels, locates appropriate materials, distributes materials to
proper locations, and tracks material locations. Supply productions
lines, stock materials, count and verify sales and service items.
Maintain workplace cleanliness and work in other areas as required.
Performs clean up and special projects as needed. In accomplishing
these tasks, the Hander regularly operates forklifts and other
associated material handling equipment and machinery.
- Counts, weighs or measures incoming or outgoing items to
compare identifying information and variety against bills of
lading, invoices, orders or other records; examines incoming
shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to
rectify; completes paperwork or forms required for
documentation.
- Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet
jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize
storage.
- Transports glass, high dollar glass laboratory equipment,
laboratory supplies, office supplies, furniture and hazardous
materials to customers or inventory locations.
- Ensures proper documentation and package marking. Responsible
for accurate systemic transactions of all relevant materials and
inventory accuracy via cycle-count processes.
- Utilizes computerized or automated systems to accomplish
tasks.
- Document information relating to receipt, storage, or
distribution of materials. WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) are
preferred.
- Some manufacturing experience is helpful, but not
required.
- Must demonstrate a solid work history and attendance
record.
- Must have demonstrated full competence as a Machine Operator I
prior to becoming a Machine Operator II.
- Previous experience elsewhere may be considered toward
qualifying as a Machine Operator II or III.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics
described here are typical of those an employee might encounter
while performing the essential functions of this job. While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally
exposed to risk of electrical shock.
- The shop contains mobile equipment, machinery, and high
voltages.
- The shop noise level is variable and may require hearing
protection in some areas.
- The shop is heated when required but many areas are not air
