Products are manufactured at company operated facilities in the East, South, and Midwestern United States.Burnham Holdings Sourcing Company (BHSC) supports all supply chain and sourcing activities across the Burnham Holdings, Inc. portfolio.We are looking for a Planner/Buyer to join our team! This position will plan for assigned parts and manage the purchasing process to include supplier relationship management, pricing, terms, and inventory optimization. The position will also work closely with suppliers, operations, engineering, quality, and financial teams. The ideal candidate will have: purchasing experience, manufacturing experience, able to work in a fast-paced environment, able to multi-task, great communication skills, willing and able to learn.This is a full-time position located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM 4:30 PM.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Plan for supply and issue purchase orders on all assigned inventory partsIssue Purchase orders for indirect parts and servicesPrepare and execute Requests for QuoteNegotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous pricing and termsConduct and participate in supplier relationship activitiesBuild and maintain long term relationships with suppliersWork with all relevant parties to source and select suppliersManage purchase price increases from existing suppliersAttain purchasing savings on parts and servicesOptimize Inventory Levels on assigned partsMonitor supplier fulfilment of PO requirementsReview Engineering Notices and take appropriate actionFacilitate corrective action for non-conforming material with QC, Engineering, and Supplier as needed.Help resolve PO/Receiver/Invoice problemsTake lead in correcting inaccurate stock records and corrective action to eliminate inaccuraciesParticipate at management level in annual inventoryParticipate on new product development and continuous improvement teamsOther tasks as assignedRequirements:Bachelors Degree in Business or related field preferred; orAssociates Degree in Business or 3-5 years related experience and/or trainingHighly desirable but not required:APICS or other Supply Chain CertificationsDegree in Supply Chain ManagementPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
