Job Description:

It is the responsibility of the scorekeeper to keep the show running smoothly by maintaining the performance order as per the stage managers instructions and communicating any changes to the audio technician. It is up to you to ensure scores are recorded, accurate and complete for each entry within the scoring application. You will also serve as line of communication between Groove and the judges during the event. It is the scorekeeper's responsibility to act as the emcee and announce all dances over the microphone as they enter the stage as well as make periodic announcements / reminders as needed. If and when a break is taken during the day, the scorekeeper will need to also communicate with the photo/video team to ensure that they are in position, prior to starting the show up again. Set-up scoring equipment.Maintain the order of performances, as per stage managers instruction.Strong communication with sound technician, stage manager and judges during each event, in addition to the photo/video team.Ensure scores are recorded, accurate and complete for each entry.Ensure judge's critique files are correctly saved and backed up during the event. Monitor scoring data for consistency and alter management of outliers.Monitor judge's numerical scores for statistical consistency and alert management as necessary.Emcee and announce all dances over the microphone as they enter the stage.Breakdown scoring equipment after event has concluded.Contribute to social media. Attend any mandatory training sessions.Comply with all policies and procedures listed in your employee handbookAll other duties as assigned by event director or designee.
