Primary Responsibility: Oversee day-to-day operations within produce production floor through subordinate supervisors. Lead teams to meet production and quality goals. Analyze performance of the lines to improve financial and quality results, and strategically build and develop a team of supervisors and line leaders. Essential Functions: Lead, direct and supervise the activities and actions of the production staff through subordinate supervisors and lead workers. Establish and implement standards, procedures, and processes for high-quality production. Oversee and develop technical and non-technical training for production team members, including training schedules and identifying trainers. Collaborate and partner with onsite customer service staff to drive financial performance, align activities to best practices, and achieve goals for performance and customer service. Set expectations and influence production team to enforce health/safety procedures and guidelines in line with company, customer, and regulatory safety and food safety expectations, guidelines, and requirements. Collaborate with internal peers to improve inventory accuracy, pallet integrity, label integrity and overall site key performance indicators (KPIs). Track and report on activities and trends by team, line, and repack type to outline current performance wins and continuous improvement actions and opportunities. Evaluate and implement LEAN strategies within the production team that focus on waste, efficiencies and overall machine performance. Partner with the maintenance department to evaluate and report on current machine performance, plan downtime, and adjust production plans due to maintenance, unexpected outages, etc.


Qualifications & Experience: HS Diploma 3+ years supervisory or production environment experience; or successful completion of Americold's internship program; or a bachelor's degree Preferred candidates will have one or more of the following qualification, in addition to meeting the above minimum requirements: 5 years in produce production environment; a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, supply chain management, business management, and/or similar fields of study; working knowledge of PRIMUS/GFSI programs, food safety and sanitation requirements bilingual in English and Spanish; high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including ability to manneauver and efficiently manage with RedZone or similar application Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to multitask and make decisions while taking the appropriate risk in evaluating shipping priorities, reducing downtime on machines and reducing changeovers. Comfortable with change, taking measured risk, and influencing decision-making Demonstrated leadership skills with a broad knowledge of management practices and good business analysis/project management skills Demonstrated ability to grasp a large, complex, matrix-oriented global business at a base level and use this understanding to set overall strategy and drive business process improvement Demonstrated business savvy to effectively communicate and work with other executives in support of achieving business and systems goals Strong business planning skills to execute strategic projects with implications for business areas with rapidly evolving business processes. Must possess a balanced perspective on strategic and tactical issues Proven ability to manage numerous projects, as well as resources, remotely in a highly dispersed organization Proven ability to select top talent and create a productive environment that promotes initiative, innovation, continual learning and development of key personnel for future advancement Excellent communication and presentation skills with a wide range of audiences including clients, front line managers and C-level leaders Physical Requirements: The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
