Job Description:
A leading food production company is seeking an experienced
Director of Live Haul to lead and optimize the day-to-day
operations of its live poultry transportation division. This
high-impact leadership role will oversee all aspects of live haul
strategy, efficiency, and compliance across multiple locations,
ensuring animal welfare, cost control, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities: ? Lead and develop live haul operations
across a multi-site network ? Prepare and manage detailed
departmental budgets ? Analyze logistics and implement efficiency
improvements, including route optimization and technology
integration ? Ensure compliance with all animal welfare standards
and food safety policies ? Collaborate closely with farm and
executive leadership to align goals and drive performance ? Monitor
KPIs and implement strategic plans to reduce costs and maximize
profitability ? Provide oversight and mentorship to team leads and
drivers ? Report and track equipment, vehicle, and facilities
issues through internal systems Qualifications: ? Bachelor's degree
in agriculture, animal science, or related field (required) ? 5
years of director-level experience in live haul, livestock, or
poultry logistics ? Strong leadership and multi-site management
experience ? Working knowledge of animal welfare standards and GMPs
? Advanced problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills ?
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus ? Valid driver’s license and
clean driving record (required) ? Proficiency with Excel, Outlook,
and route planning software ? Willingness to travel frequently
across a large service area Physical Requirements: ? Ability to
lift 50 lbs unassisted (100 lbs with assistance) ? Must be able to
walk, bend, and stand for long periods ? Comfortable with driving
long distances and exposure to agricultural environments This is a
