Job Description Job Description Attorney - Med Mal, Plaintiff Established (35 Years) Premier Plaintiff Firm Seeking Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney in Freehold, NJ An established plaintiff firm based in Freehold, NJ with over 35 years in practice is seeking a Medical Malpractice Associate Attorney with 5 years of plaintiff-side litigation experience to join its growing med mal practice. This firm is known for handling complex, high-exposure medical negligence matters and for investing heavily in legal technology and AI-driven systems to support case strategy, expert management, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing medical malpractice cases with increasing autonomy while working closely with senior trial attorneys on catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters through trial and mediation. This is a strong opportunity for a med mal attorney who wants hands-on case responsibility, exposure to sophisticated litigation, and long-term growth within a well-established plaintiff practice. Offer: Salary range: Up to $150k base depending on experience Collected-dollar bonus paid on top of base compensation Comprehensive benefits package including medical coverage 401(k) with employer contribution Generous paid time off and holidays Collaborative, low-turnover environment with meaningful trial exposure and long-term growth potential Qualifications: 5 years of plaintiff-side medical malpractice litigation experience Experience handling complex litigation involving medical records, experts, and causation issues Strong legal writing skills with experience drafting pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions Comfort working with expert witnesses, including physicians and medical specialists Technically proficient and comfortable working in a fully digital case environment Licensed and in good standing with the New Jersey Bar Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating closely with senior trial attorneys Responsibilities: Manage assigned medical malpractice matters through discovery, expert development, and resolution Review and analyze complex medical records and coordinate with medical experts Draft and respond to pleadings, written discovery, and motion practice Assist senior trial attorneys on high-value catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases Participate in depositions, mediations, trial preparation, and courtroom proceedings Leverage firm technology and AI-driven tools to organize evidence, analyze case data, and streamline litigation workflows Maintain detailed and fully digital case files while ensuring compliance with deadlines and court requirements - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
