ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking aSoftware Developerto
join ourteam that supports the Federal Aviation Administration in
Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This role will make an impact by meeting
the future needs of our FAA customer that includes securing data
across networks in theenterprise.
Seeking aSoftware Engineer able to support the Development,
Maintenance and Testing of Real-Time Embedded Software in support
of the ASR-9 Radar System.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Must be proficient with C or other high-level software
language.
- Work in critical paths for languages of the radar system.
- Ability to learn a new language or already have experience with
PLM-86.
- Experience in designing, developing, optimizing, coding,
testing, reviewing and debugging embedded systems with real-time
multitasking operating systems.
- Designs and develops code for physical hardware devices
utilizing software applications to solve problems and implement
systems.
- Experience with utilizing a Logic Analyzer to troubleshoot
embedded computer systems.
- Validate and integrate new designs for the complex
systems.
- Track preparation and delivery status of required
deliverables.
- Attend and may lead meetings, design reviews, working group and
briefings
- Knowledge in programming, developing, testing an embedded
real-time computer system is a must.
- Occasional travel for installations and/or technical support if
needed.Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a
Bachelor's degree in another technical field with a minimum of
thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics,
statistics, and computer science and twenty (20) years of related
work experience in a computer science or math field; OR, Master's
Degree in any field of study with a minimum thirty (30) semester
hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of
mathematics, statistics, and computer science and sixteen (16)
years related work experience in a computer science or math field.
OR,PhD or Doctorial in a related field with a minimum of thirty
(30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a
combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and
six (6) years of related work experience in a computer science or
math field.
- Experience with Linux Platform Development and Embedded Linux
designs.
- Proficiency with Linux, C/C++, Shell Scripting and
understanding of networking communication protocols (TCP/IP,
UDP/IP) and hardware.
- Well versed in some of the following technologies:
- Wireshark, TeraTerm, MetaAssist, GCC Compiler, Cross Compiler
Environment, QT, BSD Sockets, Network Routing, Git, Yocto, Bitbake,
Linux Network Device Drivers, Python, Open Embedded, Netlink.
- Ability to learn a new language or already have experience with
PLM-86.
- Experience in designing, developing, optimizing, coding,
testing, reviewing and debugging embedded systems with real-time
multitasking operating systems.
- Designs and develops code for physical hardware devices
utilizing software applications to solve problems and implement
systems.
- Designs, develops, tests and integrates software/firmware
packages to work harmoniously with system hardware (serial data)
new digital components to produce fully integrated systems.
- Experience with utilizing a Logic Analyzer to troubleshoot
embedded computer systems.
- Validate and integrate new designs for the complex
systems.
- Knowledge in programming, developing, testing an embedded
real-time computer system is a must.
- Occasional travel for installations and/or technical support if
needed.
- US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in
the United States.
- Must have resided in the US for at least the past 3 years.
- Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation
by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold
a position of public trust.
