operations, management, and strategic initiatives of the Studio
Fitness program. This role works closely with the Studio Fitness
Director to oversee a diverse network of instructors and a robust
schedule featuring market-leading group fitness offerings across
Cycle, Yoga, and Aerobic formats. Key responsibilities include
managing staff recruitment and development, supporting scheduling
and payroll, overseeing budgetary and inventory tasks, and ensuring
exceptional member experiences. This is a hands-on leadership role
in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment that requires
excellent communication, critical thinking, task execution, and the

Core Responsibilities Maintain a qualified pool of certified
instructors and ensure proper class coverage. Monitor classes to
ensure safe, effective instruction and high-quality member
experiences. Recruit, interview, hire, train, schedule, and support
performance management for instructors. Provide coaching and
communicate accountability and performance expectations to staff.
Advise on employee matters such as promotions, transfers, rate
adjustments, and dismissals. Oversee fitness equipment maintenance,
inventory control, and studio cleanliness. Manage scheduling
requirements and class substitution procedures. Teach studio
fitness classes as needed across multiple formats, maintaining
credentials and continuing education. Track participation,
retention, and performance metrics; recommend data-informed
improvements. Stay current on industry trends and identify ways to
improve and expand the program. Cultivate partnerships and organize
community events to drive visibility and membership growth. Support
managers and program coordinators with administrative and
logistical needs. Execute departmental standards in alignment with
City Fitness policies, mission, values, and goals. Represent City
Fitness in a professional manner at all times. Perform other duties
as assigned. Key Competencies Strong written and verbal

Advanced problem-solving abilities—able to analyze information,
identify solutions, and act efficiently. Required Education and
Experience Must be 18 years or older. High School Diploma or GED
required. 1–3 years of industry-related experience. Prior
leadership and/or staff development experience. Experience in
developing and implementing business strategies or plans.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Active CPR certification
(or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire). Current Group
Fitness Certification (ACE, AFAA, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent).
Ability to teach multiple formats. Additional Requirements Must
maintain valid nationally recognized certifications throughout
employment Additional pre-employment screening may be required
Supervisory Role This position serves as the first line of
management and the direct supervisor of program-specific
instructors. The focus of this role is to manage daily departmental
tasks through staff accountability, training and development, and
performance metrics. Position Type & Hours Full-time, minimum 40
hours per week Combination of on-site, administrative, and
occasional remote work Standard schedule: Monday through Friday,
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Flexibility required, including potential
evening, weekend, or irregular hours depending on staffing needs,
special projects, or events Work Environment Operates in both a
professional office setting and gym/fitness center environment
Regular use of standard office equipment (computers, tablets,
phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, scanners) Frequent
interaction with various types of fitness equipment Noise levels
may vary from quiet (office) to loud (fitness environment) Requires
computer literacy and comfort using multiple software systems
Physical Demands This role requires a high degree of energy,
physical fitness, and endurance to support and participate in
