If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! -Join our newly established Logistics department and become an integral part of our rapid growth story. -This role is responsible for coordinating and optimizing the movement of raw material and finished product, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining accurate records. - -As an experienced Logistics Coordinator, you'll be at the forefront of our operations, managing multiple moving parts with finesse and precision. This position requires adaptability and flexibility to jump into action as needed and exceptional interpersonal skills to reach optimal solutions with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers. - -Requirements - -Inbound Logistics:Coordinate and schedule the receipt of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials from suppliers.Collaborate with procurement and quality control teams to ensure accurate and timely deliveries that meet quality standards.Maintain inventory control and manage storage areas efficiently to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.Monitor and track incoming shipments, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures.Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inbound logistics, such as damaged goods, missing items, or incorrect quantities.Outbound Logistics:Plan and schedule the shipment of finished products to customers or distribution centers.Coordinate with production and packaging departments to ensure timely availability of products for shipment.Optimize transportation routes and select appropriate carriers to minimize costs while meeting delivery deadlines.Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, export/import paperwork, and customs documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations.Monitor the transportation process, track shipments, and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and customers.Communication and Collaboration:Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to address inquiries, provide status updates, and resolve any logistics-related issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, production, quality control, and sales, to optimize logistics processes and achieve operational goals.Foster strong relationships with suppliers and carriers, negotiate contracts, and monitor service level agreements.Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to logistics and food safety.Problem-solving and Analytical Skills:Identify potential logistics bottlenecks or challenges and propose solutions to optimize efficiency.Analyze transportation costs, lead times, and service levels to identify opportunities for improvement.Resolve logistics-related issues promptly and efficiently, minimizing disruptions to production or customer service.Utilize data and analytical tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop strategies for process improvement.Continuously monitor and evaluate logistics operations, identifying areas for cost reduction, process automation, or performance enhancement. - - - -Success Competencies: -Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.Attention to detail and accuracy in managing logistics documentation and inventory records.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.Problem-solving and analytical thinking to identify and resolve logistics challenges.Adaptability and flexibility to respond to changing priorities or unforeseen circumstances.Proficiency in using logistics software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office applications.Knowledge of food safety regulations, transportation regulations, and best practices in the food industry.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Proactive approach to identify process improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.Strong customer service orientation, ensuring timely and satisfactory response to internal and external inquiries. -
