Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Towson, MD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,405 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position Job Title: CVICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 2 years of CVICU experience required; will accept first-time travelers with CVICU experience License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI required; OCN and TCNN preferred Must-Have: Preferred previous charge experience; experience with a patient ratio of 1:2; required experience with the charting system Epic Description: The position is for a CVICU RN working nights with the possibility of rotating to day shifts. The average daily census on the unit is 3-5 patients with a capacity of 6 beds. Common patient diagnoses include postoperative cardiac surgery, cardiac surgery readmissions, and cardiogenic shock. Special procedures in the unit may involve hemodynamic instability, management of cardiac output, and ECMO. Floating to the MSICU may be required as needed. Weekend coverage is required every third weekend, and holidays will be scheduled as needed. On-call hours of 24-32 hours may be required on a rotating 8-week schedule. Travelers must be comfortable floating within the facility. The role requires active management and care of complex cardiac patients, including those on various cardiovascular support devices. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in critical care nursing skills, including dysrhythmia management and monitoring hemodynamic status. Attention to detail and adherence to protocols in a fast-paced environment is essential. Professional references will be required following the initial assessment for qualification.
