MedStar Health, a leading not-for-profit healthcare organization in the D.C.-Maryland-Virginia region, is seeking a dedicated Dietitian to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing individualized nutritional care and advice to patients, enhancing their recovery and improving overall health outcomes. Our dietitians work closely with a multidisciplinary team to integrate nutritional therapy into patient care plans, reflecting our commitment to holistic, patient-first health services. Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling. Consult with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of patients. Monitor patient progress and adjust their dietary plans and practices as needed. Educate patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation. Prepare reports and maintain records of patient data, including therapy plans and progress. Organize, lead, and participate in workshops and seminars to disseminate nutritional knowledge within the community. Knowledge of nutrition and dietetic principles and practices Ability to develop personalized meal plans Strong communication and counseling skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Proficient in the use of dietary analysis software Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Licensed Dietitian (LD) - depending on state requirements
