We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Physician specializing in Primary Care to support AtlantiCare Primary Care in Rio Grande, NJ. Key Responsibilities: Provide adult outpatient primary care services in a Level II trauma setting. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including EKG interpretation. Perform disability examinations within occupational medicine. Deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a no-call, no-inpatient responsibilities environment. Utilize the Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient management. Required Skills: Valid New Jersey medical license. Proven experience in adult outpatient care and EKG interpretation. Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently within a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with occupational medicine procedures is preferred. Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience working in Level II trauma centers. Experience with disability exams or occupational health. Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations. Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution. Prior locum or outpatient primary care experience preferred. Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice post-residency. Other Requirements: This position is open to providers needing to obtain or currently hold a New Jersey license. Position availability begins January 1, 2026, with ongoing coverage needs. Travel reimbursement prioritized for local providers; travel arrangements considered for the right candidates. No inpatient, call, or emergency department responsibilities required. Estimated credentialing time: approximately 90 days.
