Equiliem is seeking a local contract nurse RN Oncology for a local contract nursing job in Edison, New Jersey. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:Oncology - Discipline:RN - Start Date:07/28/2025 - Duration:13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:12 hours, nights - Employment Type:Local Contract Schedule Notes: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM 3 x 12 HR SHIFT Every Other Weekend Required 3/6- PRE-ASSIGNED Holidays Required No On-Call Requirement Float Requirement: YES Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Required Skills & Experience: -Two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia & lymphoma, inpatient setting. Preferred Skills & Experience: Job Summary: -The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. -Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient’s needs. -Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. -Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments. -Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. -Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. -Manages care of patients. -Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. -Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. -Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model. -Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. -Initiates assessment based on the patient’s problems or needs, the physician’s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework. -Performs therapeutic nursing interventions. -Manages care of patients. -Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities. -Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery. -Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model. -Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required Certifications & Licensure: -BLS - AHA. -NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license. Preferred Certifications & Licensure: -Telemetry -Chemo Certification with ONS. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Required Skills & Experience: -Two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia & lymphoma, inpatient setting.
