Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 5 x 8 (15:00 - 23:30) Experience: 4 years of acute hospital operating room experience required License: Must have a valid state license in hand Certifications: CBSPD Certification, IAHCSMM/HSPA Must-Have: Decontamination and disinfection experience with chemical agents, disinfectants, manual cleaning procedures, ultrasonic cleaners, and washers/sterilizers Description: Responsible for the processing of surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with sterilization standards. Experience in specialty equipment processing including bariatric, cardiac, dental, ENT, endoscopy, general surgery, laparoscopic, neuro, OBGYN, ophthalmology, orthopedic, and plastic surgery is required. Knowledge in labeling and infection control practices is essential. This role does not require on-call or weekend duties. Candidate must complete required modules prior to beginning work. Two supervisor references are mandatory for consideration. Must adhere to local travel radius requirements. No time off will be permitted during the first two weeks of assignment.
