Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 5 x 8 (23:00 - 07:30) Experience: 4 years of experience required; acute hospital operating room experience required License: Valid state license required Certifications: CBSPD Certification, IAHCSMM/HSPA required Must-Have: - Decontamination and disinfection experience using chemical agents, disinfectants, and manual cleaning procedures - Experience with specialty equipment processing including bariatric, cardiac, dental, ENT, endoscopy, general surgery, laparoscopic, neuro, OBGYN, ophthalmology, orthopedic, and plastics Description: The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for ensuring that surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and prepared for surgical procedures. The technician will work the night shift from 23:00 to 07:30, five days a week. Decontamination processes will include the use of various chemical agents and disinfectants. Specialty equipment processing experience is essential. This role requires a focus on safety and compliance with all sterile processing protocols. Successful candidates will possess the necessary certifications and experience to excel in a fast-paced surgical environment. Flu vaccine compliance is required.
