MJ Morgan Group is currently seeking a passionate Psych RN for a highly reputable, nationally renowned Psychiatric Hospital in Maryland. Sign-on bonus guaranteed! • Treats patients with psychotic illnesses, including Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Disorders, as well as neuropsychiatric disorders. Patients are treated under the expert care of experienced psychiatrists, nursing, and other clinical staff. With an average length of stay between 5-10 days.
• Document and report patient progress to treatment team.
• Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff.
• Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families.
• Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician.
• Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans.Must Haves:
  • License: MD RN License
  • Certification: AHA approved Basic Life Support/CPR certification
  • Education: Associate degreeAbout the Unit:
    • # Of beds: 22
    • Patient population: Psychotic disorders
    • Common Diagnoses: Bipolar and schizophrenia
    • Nurse to patient ratio: 1:7
    • Average # of Admits a week: 5-10Comp:Starts at $35 hourly for new grads, rate increases from there DOE.Sign-on bonuses will be considered for strong candidates!
