Job Description:
MAJOR FUNCTION : Responsible on a 24 hour basis for a nursing
unit at one location. Serves as lead nurse for care coordination,
which includes daily assignments of staff, and utilizing nursing
resources, effective delivery of care to patients and execution of
patient plans of care. May serve as a house supervisor as needed
after completing training and competency. QUALIFICATION: A.
Education: Baccalaureate Degree or actively pursuing same . B.
Experience: At least three years of progressive experience as staff
nurse or charge nurse in Surgical Services, M/S, OB, Peds, ICU or
ER as appropriate. Prefer additional preparation and expertise
demonstrated in management principles and clinical nursing skills.
Ability to relate effectively to patients, their families,
physicians and staff members. C. Certification/Licensure: Current
licensure of the State of New Jersey.
