(ESSENTIAL) FUNCTION: Development, direction and oversight of
assigned area(s) of Community Living Programs (CLP). This includes
ensuring that individuals supported are receiving services
according to their annual plans and that the assigned programs are
in compliance with all policies and procedures of Elwyn New Jersey
and requirements by external monitors and funders. Training and
on-going supervision of assigned Program Coordinator(s). DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are normal for this
position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or
all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. ---
Ensures the delivery of quality services to individuals supported
by Elwyn New Jersey in compliance with internal and external
policies, procedures, protocols and standards --- Directly
supervises assigned program coordinators (PC) and other designated
CLP personnel within the department, including in recruiting,
hiring, promoting, terminating and performance managing activities
--- Supervises the development and coordinates the delivery of
services to all areas assigned --- Maintains the fiscal
responsibility for the unit and manages payroll for assigned areas
--- Routinely visits, monitors and checks documentation at each
site of responsibility --- Ensures documentation and reports meet
all requirements of the State of NJ Department of Human
Services/Division of Developmental Disabilities and Elwyn New
Jersey --- Oversees the operations and service provision of the
assigned area, including attending individual annual plans and/or
special team meetings, and participating in the development of
plans; ensuring that outcomes/goals are implemented and followed as
written; monitoring monthly documentation by the PC; participating
in committees as designated; ensuring that performance reviews
occur for all staff and completing same for assigned PCs, including
on-going goals for performance improvement --- Participates in and
leads assigned team in on-going quality management activities and
ensures the timely completion of any Plan of Correction necessary,
as identified by an internal or an external monitoring or audit ---
Works with, understands and complies with the union contracts and
the proper handling of union grievances --- Attends on-going
management, department and training meetings --- Attends required
trainings annually --- Participates in on-call responsibilities, as
assigned --- Performs other duties as assigned IMMEDIATE
SUPERVISOR: Director of Operations, CLP CONTACTS: Elwyn New Jersey
personnel, individuals supported, parents, family members, federal,
state, and local agency personnel and visitors DIRECT REPORTS:
Program Coordinators EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: ---
A Bachelor's degree in the field of human services or related field
preferred. High school diploma with equivalent experience in the
field of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) will be
considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. A Master's Degree will
be considered in lieu of the number of years of experience in the
field beyond one. --- Four (4) years of experience in the field of
developmental disabilities, including two (2) years of
supervisory/management experience --- Must have current, valid
driver's license in state of residence, three (3) years driving
experience, and acceptable driving record --- Computer literacy a
must with proficiency with Microsoft Windows, MS Word, MS Excel,
and MS Outlook --- Must be able to interact with consumers and have
knowledge of and ability in crisis management --- Demonstrated
ability to work effectively as part of a team --- Must possess
excellent interpersonal, collaboration, presentation, and written
and verbal communication skills --- Strong organizational skills
and attention to detail --- A demonstrated ability to leadMust
successfully complete/obtain and maintain all clearances and
certifications as required by Elwyn NJ and regulatory agencies and
must cooperate with the licensee and Division staff in any
inspection or investigation. Equivalent combination of training and
experience that provides the characteristics required to do the
essential functions of the class may be substituted. PHYSICAL
