Job Description:
Ryder, a leader in logistics and transportation solutions, is
looking for an Automotive Technician Mobile to join our dynamic
team. In this role, you'll bring your expertise in automotive
repair and maintenance to a wide array of vehicles in a mobile,
fast-paced, and innovative environment. As part of the Engineering,
Maintenance, and Asset Management department, you will help enhance
our fleet operations through high-quality technical skills and
state-of-the-art diagnostics. Every day, you’ll contribute to the
efficiency and effectiveness of our transportation services,
directly impacting Ryder’s commitment to client satisfaction and
operational excellence. Travel to various locations to perform
emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance on vehicles, ensuring
compliance with all safety and operational guidelines. Diagnose and
repair vehicles including trucks, trailers, and other fleet
equipment to prevent downtime and extend the lifespan of the fleet.
Communicate effectively with fleet management to inform on
maintenance schedules and vehicle availability. Document all
repairs and maintenance activities for compliance and
record-keeping purposes. Stay current with the latest automotive
technology and integrate new tools and techniques into daily
practices. Manage inventory and reorder necessary supplies and
tools for vehicle maintenance and repairs. Expertise in engine
components, electrical systems, and preventive maintenance
procedures. Proficient with hand tools and diagnostic software
typical in the automotive industry. Highly adept in troubleshooting
and resolving complex mechanical issues in a timely manner.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for both client
interactions and record-keeping purposes. Ability to work
independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks.

Certification (Automotive Service Excellence) highly preferred.
Additional certifications related to diesel machinery, HVAC
systems, or electrical diagnostics are considered a plus.
