Patient Account Representative – Medical Insurance Location: Langhorne, PA (onsite) Pay: $17–$20/hour (based on experience) Schedule: Full-Time We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Patient Account Representative onsite in Langhorne, PA . The ideal candidate will have experience working with self-pay patients in a medical setting, a strong understanding of insurance procedures, and excellent customer service skills. Key Responsibilities: Communicate with various insurance companies and plans to verify benefits and obtain required documentation. Pre-certify services and prepare accurate work orders. Work directly with patients to set up self-pay options and discuss outstanding balances. Call on accounts with balances due and follow up on payment arrangements. Provide clear, empathetic customer service and educate patients on payment options and insurance coverage. Maintain professional conduct and ensure the smooth flow of service within the department. Accurately document interactions and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Complete other duties as assigned. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with self-pay accounts in a medical setting preferred. Strong knowledge of insurance plans, verification processes, and medical billing procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Excellent communication, judgment, and organizational skills. Knowledge of anatomy or medical coding is a plus. Must be professional, detail-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.
