Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements. 2. Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures. 3. Regularly produce financial reports or statements. 4. Coordinate all audit activity. 5. Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the organization’s financial status. 6. Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the executive team; continuously collaborate with program vice presidents to assess the financial efficacy of program operations and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations. 7. Implement a robust contracts management and financial management/reporting system; ensure that the contract billing and collection schedule is adhered to and that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational requirements. 8. Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance department’s overall policy and procedure manual. 9. Effectively communicate and present critical financial matters to the board of directors. Qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management roles, preferably in the manufacturing industry. 2. Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field. (MBA or related advanced degree is preferred). 3. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred. 4. Proven experience in financial analysis, strategic planning, forecasting, and cost accounting. 5. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). 6. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations. 7. Able to analyze financial records and transfer information. 8. Data-driven and highly analytical. 9. Proficiency with accounting software, word processing, and spreadsheets. 10. Solid written and verbal communication skills. 11. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation. 12. Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution. 13. Strong mentoring, coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise. 14. Entrepreneurial team player who can multitask. 15. Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers. 16. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize. 17. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. 18. Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence – ability to motivate staff. 19. Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
