Job Description:
Must have prior experience with securitization sales and ABS
strategiesThe AVP of Capital Markets is responsible for driving and
managing the execution of capital markets transactions, including
term securitization, residual and whole loan sales, liaising with
other departments to drive operational projects on behalf of the
team, and providing support to Executives for various treasury
projects. The role requires an individual to have excellent
problem-solving skills, the ability to successfully multi-task, and
high attention to detail. This position has exposure to executive
management, accounting, risk, and investment bank
relationships.Primary Function:Drive positive change, manage and
coordinate various third parties on a term asset-backed
securitization program, and drive transactions from engagement to
closingMaintain and foster relationships with multiple banks, whole
loan sale partners, investors, rating agencies,s and auditorsA Day
in the Life of an AVP, Capital Markets:Manage entire partnership
cycles internally with funds, asset managers, and investment banks,
including legal negotiation to structure and negotiate whole loan
forward flow partnersPartner cross-functionally with various teams
to represent the interest of the Treasury Department to drive
strategy and optimize operational processesReview monthly investor
reports and provide trend updates to executive managementUpdate and
analyze performance and loan-level detail to project losses and
determine the market valuation of collateral and securities
offeringsDevelop analyses and presentation materials for internal
and external audiencesManage, train, encourage, and be a role model
to team membersAbout you:Required: Bachelors degree in
Accounting/FinancePreferred: Masters or CFA preferredRequired: 7+
years of relevant industry experience in capital markets,
investment banking, or commercial banking focused on warehouses,
securitizations, or other ABS strategiesDeep understanding of
capital marketsAbility to understand and analyze balance sheets,
income statements, statements of cash flows, and other pro forma
financial statementsComfort and experience negotiating and
reviewing loan documentsExcellent written and verbal communication
skillsStrong analytical and decision-making skillsAbility to
analyze and resolve complex issues and problems in a sound and
timely mannerStrong organizational and project management
skillsAbility to manage, take ownership, and complete multiple
projects and drive them to completion on time with minimal
supervisionFlexibility to perform in an ever-changing work
environmentAdvanced Excel skills requiredSQL skills preferredby
